Frequently Asked Questions

Many of the frequently asked questions are answered in our Contract.

Q – Do you allow outdoor tenting?

A – Yes we do. In the event of inclement weather, tents may be set up covering the terrace and lawn below. Tenting is also an option if the number of guests exceed our indoor capacity. The standard size for tents that work here are, 40'x60' running north to south, or a 30'x100' running east to west. Many guests choose to set up tents in different areas of the garden to provide shade and add ambiance. Walls may added to tents for additional protection from the wind or cool weather, with heaters if needed. Tent companies must be insured and be on our approved vendor list. All tent setup delivery times and locations must approved in advance.

Q – Do you allow dancefloors, stages, and additional flooring
?

A – Yes we do. Our 42'x24' limestone terrace is used by many guests as their dancefloor. Guests who wish to have dancefloors, flooring, and stages may be set up in other locations, with location approval. Removal must be done the following morning to avoid damaging the grass.

Q – Do you have a stage/lighting/sound system to accommodate a band?  If so, what size?

A – We have more than adequate lighting available for a band; however the stage and sound system will need to be brought in.

Q – Are tables and/or chairs included in the rental fee?
A – San Michele has outdoor iron garden dining seating for 200 guests included in the rental fee.

Q – Do you have packages or give a comprehensive estimate?

A – Since there are no two events alike at San Michele, we do not offer ‘packages,’ however, a comprehensive estimate is available after a consultation with San Michele management to discuss your individual event needs. Most wedding cermonies and reception rentals run from 4 to 6 hours. Some guests choose to rent additional time for dressing, photography, and indoor vendor setup prior to their ceremony or event start time.

Q – Do you recommend any other vendors?

A – We have a list of vendor links on our BLOG. We have an open vendor policy with the exception of tents.

Q – Can we bring our own beverages?

A – Yes, and you must have a TABC licensed and insured bartender to serve any alcoholic beverages.
